It is to our understanding that Martha who grew up outside of Dublin city had romantic ideas of an old European city she read about in her books, However on a visit to our fair city she had a horrid awakening, the ha-penny bridge and Grafton Street are closer to a dirty old town than a Fair City… half the Irish is the result of this experience.
