The Sounding Of The Alarm

WakeUpéiRe Volunteers: Peadar from Dublin

Peadars own words

Can hardly believe its over four years, back in March 2020, when I got involved with a few others with running the first “Hold the line” out in Swords, North County Dublin. The numbers soon grew to about 30 volunteers, including not only Irish but Polish Russian and French got involved with a common goal, that was to wake people up, to what we all knew , was a very dangerous, nefarious and underhanded Con, ‘The Condemic’. We were out every Saturday, rain, hail or sun, for about 18 months. The idea of doing a HTL – Hold the line, came from England, where we saw videos of people holding placards on busy road junctions, and we copied this, seeing it as a very potent way of getting the “message” out there.

At first, we got a lot of abuse, including very rude hand gestures, and shouts of abuse out of car windows. But as time passed, this gradually stopped completely, and went to getting many cars passing by, honking with approval, and thumbs up signs. Using this as a barometer of sentiment, we felt like we were getting through to people.

It was great to see the HTL events kicking off all over Ireland, almost every county had a HTL.  The formation of – WakeUpéiRe – was great to see. It started as a HTL, but gradually metamorphosised into being much more. Hundreds of thousands of fliers, leaflets and stickers, backed up by an excellent website, has proved to be in my estimation, the most effective, single grouping, in disseminating the information that the public are not getting from the established main media, who are now, simply, state corporation propaganda entities. And the number one enemy of the Irish people.

WakeUpéiRe also, have been out consistently, with its stoic foot soldiers, in all weathers, “pressing the flesh”, real people, to real people, hail, rain, sunshine. Unless you get out of the echo chamber of social media, and onto the streets, meeting and talking to people directly, distributing information, handing letters into the likes of Pfizer and virgin media etc., Then little or nothing of real impact will be achieved. This is what makes WakeUpéiRe stand out.

I would advise anyone, who wants to try to fight back against the government backed, corporate state, global agenda, to get involved with WakeUpéire. Even if its just to distribute fliers in an area of your choosing. Raising funding, getting stickers up, or attending an “information drop” to distribute fliers, whenever your available. The fact that you are actually out and about, doing something physical, in the real world, and not behind a computer screen, and what is essentially an echo chamber, gives one a feeling of empowerment. Once you start you will not stop, as each time you take physical action, it reboots that feeling of empowerment.
