On 26 July 2024, WakeUpéiRe travelled to Limerick to hand-deliver letters to representatives of the Health Service Executive (HSE), the Mayor of Limerick, and Limerick 95FM. The purpose of the outreach was to raise awareness of concerns regarding reported increases in deaths and serious health issues that some individuals and advocacy groups associate with COVID-19 vaccination, and to highlight what the group believes is the responsibility of public bodies and media organisations to provide information and engage with public concerns.
During the visit, WakeUpéiRe members also walked through the city, speaking with members of the public and distributing informational leaflets. The group reported a warm and receptive response from many people they encountered, with conversations focused on health, transparency, accountability, and the importance of open discussion around medical issues affecting communities.
The event formed part of WakeUpéiRe’s ongoing campaign to encourage public dialogue, raise awareness of vaccine injury concerns, and call for greater recognition and support for individuals who report experiencing adverse health effects following COVID-19 injection program.
