On Friday the 21st of February some WakeUpéiRe volunteers joined the Garden of Remembrance volunteers to oppose the loveless notion of heavily regulating our duty to care. The volunteers made it clear, any attempt to stop them offering food and compassion to those most in need will not be tolerated. In wet and windy conditions, and under heavy Gardai surveillance, the selfless volunteers met at the GPO to walk to Dublin city council and hand delivered their letter of defiance.
The volunteers meet at 12.30pm every Saturday at the side entrance to the Garden of Remembrance opposite the Hugh Lane gallery. Your attendance and support would be would be much appreciated. Many people are in need, please bring any spare food and in good condition clothes you have.
