Tommy asks Rowan how he feels about the creative integrity of artists and comedians being questioned for fear of being offensive. Rowan believes artists should never apologise for their art, that if people are offended it is their problem. Not the problem of the artist.

Rowan Atkinson, the celebrated comic actor and writer best known for his role as ‘Mr. Bean’ in the hit television series and two feature films of the same name, has championed free speech in a video produced by The Christian Institute. The speech was originally filmed in 2012 as part of the Reform Section 5 campaign, Atkinson spoke out on the dangers of the Scottish hate crime Bill. In the speech, Atkinson defended freedom of speech, saying that if we want a robust society, we need more robust dialogue and that must include the right to insult or to offend
